Rev. Jamie Nelson was born in raised in Oak Cliff, TX! She received a BA in Drama from the University of Dallas and an MFA in Sound Design from California Institute of the Arts. While attending graduate school in Los Angeles, she met her husband Jeromy, a US Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. After three tours in Iraq for Jeromy, they decided to move back to Dallas.
Pastor Jamie was hired to work at Tyler Street United Methodist Church where she received her call to ministry. Rev Nelson ran an inner-city youth mission trip center in Oak Cliff and now serves at Agape Memorial United Methodist Church as the Senior Pastor. She and Jeromy have two boys who attend Sidney Lanier Elementary in Oak Cliff. Rev Nelson currently attends Perkins School of Theology.
