In partnership with the Dallas Wilkinson Center which seeks to help provide pathways out of poverty and designed to improve work readiness skills, the GED classes offered at Agape Memorial UMC are delivered in a classroom setting from a trained, skilled and dedicated teacher. The GED class is structured by skill level, self-paced and supported by curriculum accredited by the State of Texas, The GED class offers instructional courses in Reasoning, Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science and Social Studies. The classes are designed to provide skills necessary to successfully pass the Official GED Test. A textbook is required for this course and is provided for the student. GED courses are FREE to students.
Course Eligibility: Individuals 18 and older who are not enrolled in a public school are eligible to take GED Preparation Courses. Students are required to complete the TABE Assessment to evaluate current Academic Skill Levels in Reading and Mathematics for registration placement.
