Rev. Martha Patricia Valencia born and raised in Dallas, TX received a Master of Church Ministries with an emphasis in Urban Ministry from Perkins School of Theology at SMU in 2009. The same year, Rev. Valencia was ordained in the Pentecostal Church at Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas and is an Associate of the Fellowship of Ministers and Churches. Rev. Valencia also completed her year-long Chaplain Residency at Parkland Hospital in 2008-2009 and served as a Chaplain until transitioning into her current appointment in the United Methodist Church at Agape Memorial. Rev. Valencia completed her MDiv at Perkins School of Theology at SMU in 2013. Prior to her appointment at Agape Memorial Rev. Valencia served as pastor of Iglesia Mi Casa De Oracion, a Hispanic congregation in Southeast Dallas. She has also served as Worship Director at Christ's Foundry/La Fundicion de Cristo and interim pastor at La Trinidad, both congregations in the UMC. Rev. Valencia is committed to & passionate about working with the Hispanic and Immigrant communities in Dallas. Rev. Valencia has begun her path to ordination in the United Methodist Church.
